Goldfields Titans are ready to defend their 2009 - 2010 Goldfields Touch Football Association Premiership title. Shemaiah Evans has assembled a very capable team to defend their title with a few players moving onto other teams in the Association. However, Shem has been able to hang onto the core of his wining squad from last year. We welcome back into the Blue and Gold for the 2010 - 2011 touch season Selina, Christina, Sonia, Louise, Santana, Wiremu, Drew, Layne and Shem. We welcome our new players Emma, Beetles, Alice, Gary and Matthew the Nugget Murray. Goldfields Titans and its sponsors would like to wish our 2010 - 2011 Touch squad all the best for the season.

All players will have their profile pictures up in the next few weeks. The Touch season begins this weekend, 16 October at 6pm at the Oasis playing fields. Come along and support the Titans as they defend their title. See you there...

Finally to our players in Perth and Goldfields we have built a team and club out of nothing against all odds and negativity from a few. You can stand tall and be proud of what we all achieved in so little time. I don't think there's any group anywhere given the time frame we had to build a club from the ground up. They would have buckled under the pressure. I'm blessed to be surrounded by a great network of people who have become part of the Titans extended family and who are working to build a great club in the Goldfields. And the most important people in this group have been our wives and partners. Thank you for your patience, support, love and understanding in the seventeen weeks while Rugby League became a big part of lives.

On behalf of the Goldfields Titans Rugby League Club Inc Management and Coaching staff we congratulate you all on a fine effort for the 2010 Harvey Norman Premiership League.

Goldfields Titans Rugby League Football Club Inc is part of the Western Australian Rugby League Tooheys Cup Competition. Playing out of the Goldfields, situated 595km east of Perth, we believe that this is the only team in Australia who travel 17 hrs to participate in the WARL Tooheys Cup Competition in Perth.

Our aim is to offer a career and developmental path for local Goldfields rugby league players at Junior and Senior level by acting as a stepping stone into the S.G Ball, Harold Mathews and the more competitive Bundaberg Red Cup, NSW State Cup and National Rugby League (NRL).

The main title name of “Goldfields” is to promote the entire region. Between the 1980’s and 1990’s, the Goldfields' reputation as the State’s strongest country rugby league region outside of Perth has a record which spans five years.

On 18 August 1995, the Goldfields clashed with the best players from W.A’s iron ore region as a curtain raiser to the ARL fixture between the Western Reds and Newcastle. During the past five years, Goldfields has taken on Pilbara, Newman, New South Wales Country and several leading metropolitan sides in similar challenge matches and emerged victorious in each.

The Goldfields has a long history with rugby league and would like to further that history. The Goldfields Titans home ground will be located at the Oasis Playing Fields next to the Goldfields Oasis Leisure Centre.

Mining continues to be Kalgoorlie-Boulder’s main industry as well as the largest industry for employment on the Goldfields. The strength and diversification of the local mining industry has guaranteed Kalgoorlie-Boulder’s economic wellbeing, even thriving during economic downturn in Western Australia.

Goldfields Titans Rugby League Football Club Inc looks forward to promoting the great game of Rugby League in the Goldfields region.
